Tom-Tom is made of glassfiber or wood and the drum head is made of natural materials of plastic. They are usually used in pairs or separately. Inside the drum shell there is a muting system which shortens the sustain. They come in 7 different sizes and each drum may be tuned in the range of e-b.

Because of its strong higher frequencys, its tuning often sounds higher than it actually is. They are played with drum sticks, mallets and brushes.
