For his 70th birthday concert baritone Jorma Hynninen has drawn up a programme full of charming contrasts to delight his audience. Setting the festive mood is Mahler’s intimate, sensual serenade about lovers. Representing Classical serenity is the Symphony No. 4 composed by Beethoven during a summer visit to Hungary.
